I love the look of this coffee cup, and the lid was absolutely leak-proof until it fell off the table the other day (its sixth day of use).It was empty at that time, and the cup landed on the lid. The lid seemed like it was intact upon first examination--no cracks or other signs that it had hit the breakroom carpet, so I put coffee in it and went on my way. However, when I went to open the lid to drink out of it, I discovered the hinge had broken and does not stay attached when the silicone plug is not in the drinking hole. When the plug is in the hole, it will stay on somewhat, but it is loose and could become detached easily.This container is no longer suitable to use in the clinic, where my beverages must be in leak-proof containers that I can easily and quickly open and close during appointments.I will reach out to the company to see if this issue is rare and could be remedied. I will report back what I hear, but as of right now, I would not buy this coffee cup again. To-go cups all eventually fall, and though some damage is expected and does not tend to be a problem (especially cosmetic damage), I do not expect a cup of this quality and reputation to have one of its key features eliminated with a single fall to the floor from a relatively low height (compared to if I had been standing with it in my hand) and low weight (compared to if it was filled with any amount of beverage).**UPDATE**I didn't reach out to them; the company reached out to me (after my review) and replaced the cup free of charge and with free shipping! I am still using the other cup at home without the cap/plug, and the replacement is working very well for me at work. It's hard to find a small, good quality, metal, easy-to-use, leak-proof hot beverage cup, which is ideal for my needs (working with special needs children in a clinic). I definitely recommend this company based on my experience with their customer service, my coffee cups, AND the water bottle I bought to match my coffee cup.
