It is nice and sturdy. It is easy to clean and has a nice whistle. I hope it holds up well.The handle is comfortable to hold, doesn't get hot, and it's very easy to pour. The kettle is easy to open and clean, also. An excellent tea kettle.I have had this kettle three weeks and we use it once or twice daily, on a gas stove. The only reason I did not give this 5/5 stars is because the handle gets 2/10 warm. It does not get hot like other tea kettles do. I do not have to use an oven mitt but it does get just warm enough to let you think that it’s warm but there’s no problem in pouring a full kettle with your bare hands. The kettle fits nicely in my hand. It has a very loud whistle, which I love! The color pops in any kitchen!Kettle is a little awkward to hold. The handle also got hotter than expected, even though the gas flame did not extend past the pot bottom.Whistle is loudThe kettle was a gift. Her decor was perfect for the blue addition to the stove. She loved it, and immediately made a cup of tea!I bought this tea kettle hoping that I could hold the handle without a hotpad. And I am happy to report that I can! The tea kettle is quite attractive and stays nice and shiny. I like the window showing how much to fill, basically you can boil a half gallon of water at a time. I find the handle and "trigger" very well designed for my hand to pour. I also like how easy it is to pop the lid off to fill the kettle.My wife has wanted one of these for a long time, but we could never find a reasonably priced one that would work on an induction cooktop. This one is perfect. The induction contact area is large and perfectly flat. It boils water amazingly fast. As an example I usually put a cup of water in the microwave for instant coffee and it takes three minutes to boil. I can put twice as much in this kettle and it comes to a boil in about 90 seconds. We really like this kettle a lot. Oh, and the whistle is really loud too.
