I found out that I have low porosity hair after transitioning two years ago; wen Covid-19 hit, my hair dresser got sick and I didn't have anyone to take care of my hair, so I decided that the time was good as ever to GO NATURAL. I didn't know how to take care of my hair, since I had always paid lots of money monthly at some salon to have my hair looking decent at the cost of chemicals. I had been very lazy in taking care of my hair in the past few month, to the point that my hair was getting all matted. Just couldn't take it so I got a scissor and chopped some of it off, leaving holes here and there. In the process, I promised myself that I would take better care of my hair from then on; got a very nice person at a barber shop near me to trim my hair; she did a great job, which motivated me even more to be kind to my hair. Upon endless hours of watching YouTube videos on How to Treat Low Porosity Hair, I came upon a recommendation for this product. Ordered it and just used today; WOW! In a combination of an oil rinse for a few hours before washing with Mane Choice shampoo and conditioner, I deep conditioned my hair for 30 minutes with the AS I AM Hydration under a hair steamer, and could not believe how soft and curly my hair was. SUPER! I also used the AS I AM leave-in and and some curl cream and oil, the LCO method, then braided my hair. Can't wait to see the result tomorrow morning. Great product for low porosity hair. Super happy with the line!This conditioner works well for dry hair. My hair gets easily dry and this time after using this I felt some improvement. Will do an updated review after extensive use.I use this as a leave in too. Its good for hydration and works well with other products for layering on wash day.Adds moisture to my curls. I wear my hair natural and this product helps to maintain my curl pattern during the dayIT IS EVERYTHING, MY HAIR LOVES IT?????This is a good deep conditioner for gray hair and I love the smell all of there classic product is good for my gray hairDescent ingredients but must added a leave in conditioner after this because it can be drying to hair.I'm natural but I straighten my hair regularly. I usually notice just how dry my hair can get when I decide to wear it curly because I use keratin products to maintain my straight hair styles (my hair is not protein sensitive). This conditioner did wonders for moisturizing my hair after a protein treatment dried it out more than I was comfortable with. The crown of my head has a more kinky coarse texture that isn't as easy to manage as the rest of my hair. It gives me the most trouble when it comes to staying moisturized/soft and this conditioner worked wonders with that free spirited section. I had great curl clumping overall after rinsing, especially for wearing my hair straightened for over a month, and my wash and gos/twist out lasted days longer than I could usually expect. The size of this container is kind of outrageous for the price. I think it would get 5 stars from me if this came in the same sized packaging as the coconut co-wash for this price. My hair is mid-back length, dark, 4a/3c (if you buy into the number label stuff), normal to low porosity, and dense with a mixture of spongy and silky textures. I have used about 1/4 of this container after just 2 uses, following the instructions on the label, and adding honey and olive oil to the conditioner before sitting under a hooded dryer.I used this along with the As I Am coconut co-wash, leave in conditioner, curling jelly, and double butter cream. The only products I used that weren't from this line were miss jessie's pillow soft curls and a Shea Moisture holding/refreshing oil mist. I mainly use these products when I wear my hair curly but the hydration elation and double butter cream work well when I straighten my hair too.I brought this after reading all reviews on it as i am a white mum of a mixed daughter, i depend on reviews lol but i can honestly say my daughters hair loves it! Her hair is soo moisturised after using this along with the cowash and daily moisture creams.I have 4c low porosity hair and I find that this product works with or without a steamer - which is great. I leave it on for a bit longer than recommended and with no heat. It leaves my hair very moisturised. It says on the packaging that it also replenishes (which means it has some protein in it). My hair isn't a fan of protein but the balance of moisture-to- rotein in this product is spot on for my hair because it never over moisturises and it never leaves me with dry crunchy hair from too much protein.Good stuff but the price for the amount is poor value ... I think a tub shouldn’t be less then 12oz! I feel ripped off as I just about get 3 hair washes out of it ... I have thick hair so need to slather a fair bit on.However my hair having been under a heat hat, is so hydrated, so soft, my ends are really conditioned. I have 3C/4a high porosity shoulder length hair.I’m not sure what I should have liked about this. It’s extremely small for such a ridiculous price. It did absolutely NOTHING for my hair and if anything it made my hair a lot drier and much harder to manage.My two-year-old daughter has what would be referred to as 3B type hair that is about the length of her lower back and I have shoulder length relaxed hair but it's naturally 4C. My hair is very dry and my daughter's hair is very prone to tangles, this conditioner works well for us both. Her curls are always more defined and my hair gets the nourishment it desperately needs. On our hair lengths, one tub lasts for three uses on my shoulder-length hair and two on my daughter's.Certainly, when compared to the prices a salon would charge me for deep conditioning my hair it is money saved. I bought it on the recommendation of a Youtuber called Healthy Hair Junkie and I'm glad I found it. I'm on my fourth tub and will keep buying it for as long as they make it!
