The 2 cups I recieved had chip the exposed the bare clay making them not usefull for using them for drinks or food. The first two pics are of the replacement cup the the blue paint is smuged on the side and you can see the area inside the cup were the white paint left a hole exposing the clay and in the 3rd pic is the 1st cup I recieved you can see the 3 marks that are rough and is exposed to the clay. I sent one cup back and the replacement kept as decoration.This cup is even more beautiful than expected. I bought 2 cups as gifts. The recipients were thrilled.We are very pleased with the mugs. I purchased them to replace an Italian painted large coffee mug. They are a fine replacement. We like the fact that they are from Mexico. We have a time-share there for two-weeks every year. We love MexicoThe packaging for this cup was impressive! Custom cut foam ensured that my cup was pristine upon arrival. It was even prettier than I thought it would be! Holds the appropriate amount of coffee…a vat full!I recently visited NM and loved all the beautiful ceramics. I was kicking myself afterwards for not buying any.
