The assembly was relatively easy, except that the guide holes were not drilled in the upper back of the chair, so a drill and bit were necessary for assembly. Parts fit well and the rockers are very sturdy when assembly is complete. Rocker is very comfortable and we are extremely pleased with the purchase. The style is very traditional and you cannot tell they are not real wood unless you closely examine it. Surfaces have slight wood grain appearance. Seemed a little pricey, but we were very pleased with the final result. You usually get what you pay for.
