A pretty good Earl Grey, maybe a bit bland? I use honey so I am fine with that, but if you're looking for anything besides straight up malty black tea flavor, look elsewhere. But if you like your Earl Grey very Earl Grey, give this a brew!I am disappointed at te tasteGreat taste.Should be avoid if you want good teaWhen I opened the attractive Tea Heaven Earl Grey whole black loose leaf tea tin, the aroma was rather nondescript. I couldn't make out much that would indicate the quality of this loose leaf tea. I brewed it at around 190 degrees, letting freshly boiled water cool for a couple of minutes before pouring it over the leaves in a cup. The black tea leaves are rather fine and the corn flower is an abundant extension to the blend. With the addition of bergamot flavor, this Earl Grey Tea from India makes an interesting version of one of my favorite teas.It tastes slightly different than a classic Earl Grey: less citrus and spice from the bergamot, slightly malty with a hint of sweetness from the black tea and a really nice floral finish from the corn flower. The result is an Earl Grey that tastes a bit austere with a flavor complexity at the finish that is floral, citrusy, slightly astringent, well-balanced and smooth. It's not a classic Earl Grey but I find it quite tasty despite my initial misgivings about its reticent aroma. If it was a bit more assertive in flavor, it would be well-nigh perfect. Nicely done and well worth checking out for fans of Earl Grey tea.I found this looseleaf tea to make a nice mild cup of Earl Grey. Fairly easy to use but you need to supply your own Tea ball or use other brewing method as this is a loose tea not bagged. I personally like it this way as I can select how much or how little I want for my taste. Quality seems to be OK. Comes in an attractive little tin. Overall not bad.
